Default who owns any castlevania proto?

    I own:

    Castlevania Dracula X SNES us/ntsc
Castlevania Bloodlines Genesis us/ntsc (0.5 version)
Castlevania Bloodlines Genesis us/ntsc (different version but does not boot)

I know someone overhere has the pal snes Castlevania Vampire's Kiss proto and I have seen a Ps2 Lament of Innocent proto on Ebay.

Are there any more around? Like Gameboy and Nes versions?

it is very strange but as far as I know no nes/gb/gba castlevania proto's have ever been found...
Konami must have kept really good track on those!

Well the carts were ultra expensive and most were programmed over.

It's a lot more difficult to overwrite a UV eeprom then to overwrite a GB dev cart. I have a feeling there probably aren't as many Preview/Review carts going to reviewers from portable games as well.

And like BuyAtari said, they were expensive. Like really expensive.

I'll attest to a CV3 "preview copy"... it had no label but I never opened the thing. (and no, it never had a retail one.)

It's in the wild somewhere in BC - I never got it back from long before I cared about such things :P

I ended up with an E3 build of SotN, that was supposed to be made public, but i don't know if it ever was. Since i don't own the original and don't remember who gave it to me, i'm not going to do anything with it myself.

Hmm that sounds interesting to me. I always enjoyed Simon's Quest a lot, although so many people felt it was too different from parts I and III.

I dunno about all that. I got the impression that those who mapped it all out had a lot of fun finding all the hidden spots using a gamesharrk to bypass areas etc.

The buyer was happy with his purchase of an original copy even after someone else dumped another.
The seller was happy with the sale.
Everyone else got to enjoy the game when the ROM was dumped for FREE.

I don't think this is really case of anyone losing but everyone winning.

I was unable to buy the Simon's Quest prototype disk because someone surely made an offer and the item disappeared from the site.

Well about the Symphony E3, I do agree on the happy seller... 3750$, that's what, two months of salary for a demo.

It was dumped for free and I'm glad someone did, really. I'm also dumping undumped C64 and PC games when I find rare ones without asking for anything, not a big deal.

I had a Dracula X Chronicles magazine preview UMD a while back before I sold the collection, but sold it someone on here. I can't recall who.

It was an earlier build without Maria in SOTN and the DXC game was incomplete past Stage 7 or so without a cheat device of some sort I'd imagine. It had a few interesting goodies that the final didn't have, wallpaper backgrounds and the like.
