No pics...bummer.
Star Soldier R. Hmmm, there was debate on what the R stood for. Maybe it's supposed to be an L.

The moral is, don't **** with Uncle Tim when he's been drinking!
Didn't see anything either,
Retreaded game? Maybe it will be a decent shmup. I liked to have one good one in my library.

Here's a video of Star Soldier R, it looks JUST like a Star Soldier game should be!! I'm absolutely buying this- If it doesn't get a US release and Nintendo keeps dicking around with the BIOS/modchip thing, I'm going postal.
Oh, that looks goooood! I loved the Star Soldier series back in the day!
*clicks heels three times*
There's no place like The States for shmups...

I seriously hope a publisher that shows interest in releasing it over here doesn't look at Star Soldier on N64 and mistakes it for the series' pedigree.
Crappity. Why not give it some wiimote elements? I understand and support keeping it a pure shmup but, I think leaving the wiimote nothing more than a pad reduces our chances of a domestic release. I'm guessing they don't want to piss off the arcade stickers. That's the reason I'd want it to stay traditional in control. Still, it kinda seems like a missed op to me.Originally Posted by Kotaku

... so basically just another rehash of Star Soldier but with better graphics. Great, we needed another one of those! How about a proper Star Soldier sequel? Or if they insist on remaking old Star Soldier games, why not Super Star Soldier or Soldier Blade? The series didn't actually get good until they started ripping off Blazing Lazers.
Aaaah Compile, who can make those games now anyway? Zanac only has one remake, it's gotta catch up with Ys and Star Soldier.
