    Default 72-pin connector question

    Sorry i am sure this on the forums somewhere but i could not find it. Where is the best place to buy the connectors. Thanks in advance.

    No third party connectors made on earth (including the ones OSG had a hand in having brought to market) are of sufficient quality for OSG to use.

    Expect fail rates between 25 and 50%, and long term reliability of the good pins to be 1 year to 18 months. This is borne out by OSG warranty data accumulated over the last 4 years. This is based on tracking about 1500 NES consoles.

    But there are those that disagree, and they sometimes like the connectors from say, MCM Electronics.

    I replaced the 72-pin connector in my NES about three years ago with a product I purchased from ebay. As it turns out, I have encountered no trouble with it. For a measly investment of $10, I'd say it was a good deal.
