Just putting the information out there, at a thrift store in Lewisville (search Google Maps for "Resale by CCA"), they've got an X-Men arcade machine for $400. There's no coin door locks on it anymore, and it could use a bit of cleaning and work. It was in the furniture department, and there was no place to plug it in and see if it was working. They seem like nice people, though, so you could probably wheel it over to a wall socket or have someone get you an extension cord and test it out.

I have no idea if this thrift ever has any percentage-off days of the week sales, you might be able to get it a little cheaper.
