Also, the Neo-Geo.com AES price guide is generally on the high end. I don't know if I'd call it one of the rarest titles, but definitely uncommon and one of the more sought after ones.

I'd say among Neo Geo it is one of the rarest games, though certainly there are much more rare games. The japanese version seems fairly common, but I occasionally run a search for the US version on eBay and I literally can't remember the last time I saw one. It had to be at over 2 years ago.

Though you are probably right in the end, in this case the rarity is probably related to people not wanting to sell it. The game is a masterpiece.
