I just picked up a friends old NES and some games with it, one of them was "Devil World" i have never seen this game before, rare or just a fluke?
I'm from Sweden so this is PAL im talking about.

I think I remember hearing about that game. It's kind-of like Pac-man, right? It wasn't released in the US as far as I know, possibly only a PAL release.
It is like Pac-man except kinda with a scrolling screen (don't remember much of it really). It's on my multicart.

Devil World was one of the few original Nintendo games that never got released in the US (I believe an educational Popeye spelling game and Goonies were the other two). The reason it never was released in the US was because of the name. It's actually a port of a very obscure arcade game of the same name.

Well it's one of the worst games i have ever played on the NES now that i tried it.
Thanks for the input.
I also played it in a multicart and it sucks.
Hey, I happen to like that game.
Unreleased in the US, mainly because of the name/devil imagery in the game. One of the harder PAL only games to come by.

One the more intresting games and one the ones I play more often on my multicart.

After checking my copy of the goonies, it was made by Konami. Apparently Devil World is fairly common in Sweden, but rare in the rest of Europe.Originally Posted by Tempest

Jackalneo is right. I'm from Europe, never seen it in my country, and I got from a guy from....Sweden.
Dunno about the Popeye game, but The Goonies is by Konami.Devil World was one of the few original Nintendo games that never got released in the US (I believe an educational Popeye spelling game and Goonies were the other two).
I also like Devil World, it's a cool game. (they even show it in the hilarious Tell Sell commercial for the Arcade Action)
Yes your right Goonies IS Konami. I get mixed up because I used to see it in those Nintendo VS systems.
