The game was unreleased and its existence was never confirmed - but it was dumped some time ago. Now there's repros everywhere. A repro isn't worth the money it costs to make the cart. The originals, though, are quite valuable.

There was actually a big cover feature and walkthru on this game in an issue of Game Player's magazine back in the day. Guess they canceled the game right after the magazine went to print, so a lot of people were convinced it was released.

What's sad to me is that in the above interview, he was asked if he would be willing to make the California Raisins prototype into a ROM to sell it. He responded, "Thats why I want to hold on to it, I don't want that to happen." Now that he's gone, it looks like somebody got ahold of it and is doing exactly that, since the reproductions are widely available.

I'm not passing judgment since I don't actually know the details; it's just sad to me, on top of the other harrowing details of his passing.
