I've always wanted to meet Don Bluth. What was the he like? I always thought of him as a jokester. Anyone get his autograph on a Dragon's Lair sega cd etc..

Fear your thoughts because they become your words
Fear your words because they become your actions
Fear your actions because they become your habits
Fear your habits because they become your character
Fear your character because it becomes your destiny
Therefore: Thinking and nurturing positive thoughts, at any point in your life, can change your destiny.
Boy, did he ever! I know--he agreed to sit down to an interview with me that ended up lasting an hour and a half!
Don Bluth was a great guy and loved talking to the fans. I got some great stuff that I'm transcribing right now... More to come on that later, watch this board for info on where my interview will land. As for autographs, Don, John Pomeroy, Gary Goldman, and Rick Dyer were all available after the presentation on Saturday to autograph anything and everything for the fans. They were great and hung out the entire day.
Some of the things Don discussed were doing a version of Space Ace 3D, just like the Dragon's Lair title that is about to come out (if DL 3D sells well), he expressed his frustration that his older movies haven't been released in better format on DVD, and spoke about the Dragon's Lair feature film that is currently in development. Don was such a down to earth guy and very friendly. The whole Dragonsoft team was really accessible to fans and accomodating to my interview request.
It's nice to see prominant figures in the industry who really care about their fans. The behind-the-scenes video they showed at their presentation was well made and very illuminating about the work behind both the original Dragon's Lair and the 3D revision coming out this Fall. Best of all, the game itself is fantastic--it turned out to be everything a fan of the original could hope for, based on playing it at CGE in glorious high-definition on the Xbox!
Will Dragon's Lair 3D be more open-ended than the original? The original's button pushing was neat for 1982, but it wouldn't impress me for today's modern gaming.
Also, what systems will it be released for?

Yes. In fact, that's the whole point of Dragon's Lair 3D. Think "Tomb Raider" meets "Dragon's Lair."Originally Posted by theaveng
