    Default Smashed Nomad... repairable?

I found a boxed Nomad at a local yard sale but upon inspection the screen was badly cracked, including the crystal display behind the clear plastic. They just gave me the system since it was garbage, but I was wondering if it was even repairable. Anyone know?

Sadly, the screen is wave soldered to the main PCB. The screen cannot be replaced independent of the main PCB. Busted screen Nomads are the easy ones to find. A busted Nomad with a good screen and PCB is what you need to get that one working.

I have the same - good Nomad with bad screen. I had hoped that the screen itself was an easy swap - if it's soldered to the board I guess not. ;-)
