Default I hit the reset button for $8.00

I was at a local silent auction house not to long ago. They have pretty much anything and everything there from old shoes to H-O slot cars. In the back of the room is an area where they occasionally have old video game stuff. A NES here, and a Atari there, once in a while an XBOX will come in and go for 30 or 40 bucks.

On this particular day, there were more than a few boxes of stuff there, one of them caught my eye for a few reason. First, it was full of sega genesis items. A few systems, a boat load of controllers, and a handful of games. And second, the current bid was $2.00 so I bid 8 bucks. A week or so goes by and I completely forgot about it. Until we head over at the end of the month to pick everything up. Well, needless to say, judging by the title of the story, I got the box.

I was into NES and SNES when I was growing up, but never really got into Sega systems until I was older and then it was the Saturn that tickled my fancy. I've been looking to get back into retro gaming for a while and figured $8.00 was a great way to start.

    I think I got a pretty good deal for $8.00. Here's what I got:

    1 - Sega Genesis V1
    2 - Sega Genesis V2
    1 - Sega Game Gear

    19 - Genesis Games
    Listed Below

    5 - Game Gear Games
    Listed Below

    15 - Controllers (8 - 3 button, 4 - 6 button, 1- Genistick, 2 - Saturn controllers)
    4 - Power Adapters

To too bad a haul for 8 bucks. If you notice, there were zero A/V cables or RF switches included. After a few hours on the web and writing a few tutorials of my own on what I did when modding, I had an A/V cable for the Genesis V1 and added RCA jacks to one of the V2's.

I was instantly back into retro gaming and completely loving it. I know there were no treasure chest finds in this small box of someone else's 'junk' but with a little bit of work, I was able to get all three systems working and I am enjoying every minute of it.

    --EDIT--
