oh man... I hope mine arrive soon
oh man... I hope mine arrive soon
I have not received mine yet either, but I am still hopeful.
Still have not received my Posterity edition yet. *sigh*
scooterb: "I once shot a man in Catan, just to watch him die."
I got mine in the mail today. I'm going to start playing it tonight.
Iron Draggon: The game wasn't shipped the 13th, it was around the 20th. Those 20 days are an estimation. We can't make promises with bad weather, holidays etc. going on.
ALL pre-orders were shipped before Christmas, well before we announced the reprint edition.
I am not expecting that, nor do I remember we saying anything like that. And they expect us to get excited over their next yet to be announced project?
This thread points to some very impatient people, delays in shipping happen and are out of there control.
I for one am axcited about another project!
zomg I have a sig
Has anyone ever had things shipped from China before? Sometimes it's fairly decent, but sometimes it takes forever. I've had things take nearly two months after being held up for various things (customs, etc.). Relax, guys.
good to know they shipped the 20th and not the 13th like my email said. I was getting worried.
It is best to wait until January 31 to give it the entire month for it to arrive. Yes, the game was shipped on the 20th, but from past experience dealing with DealExtreme and NDSCardSale, I always give at least 45 days, in this case until the end of January.
I'm more worried about the game arriving intact than not arriving at all.
Proud owner of a Neo 25 Neo Geo Candy Cab!
I ordered the posterity edition and i got mine last wednesday.
Anyway of telling the difference between the posterity and regular edition without opening it up? I am leaving my sealed.
Just ordered the reprint. Thanks very much for doing that! I was a little bummed I wasn't going to get a chance to play this one. I'm sure I'll forget all about it and it'll be a nice surprise when it comes in.
Well, this is the first I've heard it being shipped on 12/20. My email dated 12/13/10 specifically states "Your order has been shipped. You should receive it within 20 days." Now I can understand delays for the holiday season, but don't say it shipped if it didn't. Not once until now was I informed that it did not ship that day. The same thing happened back in October when I received the email that "We will be processing pre-orders on the 25th October 2010." Apparently it took two months to process my pre-order.

On 12/19/10, one day before the game that you say was shipped (12/20, as opposed to 12/13), you are quoted as follows: "Zebbe: The number of copies is currently confidential. Perhaps it will be revealed in the future. Regarding a second print run, we have a surprise coming in January..." While you may not have formally announced the reprint until later, you obviously had it planned before then.

An exclamation mark usually connotes excitement, but I guess I could be wrong. Finally, can the retro gaming community live in hope that there might be another project from the Watermelon team in the near future, or has Pier Solar been more than enough for a lifetime?
Zebbe: Most team members are certain to do another project, but you will see that. Hopefully we will announce something new next year!
I am not being impatient, Had I been impatient I would have backed out long ago (I pre-ordered on 9/3/2008, order #166). I am frustrated by the mis-communication and lack of accurate information that I have been provided as to the processing and shipping of my order. I have not had this problem with other developers (e.g., Super Fighter Team) and other pre-orders (Beggar Prince; Legend of Wukong).
Still waiting on #102.
Guess I will go ahead and start Golden Sun while I am waiting.
Good idea, since Pier Solar has shipped I've beaten Golden Sun 1 and have worked through to the second half of Golden Sun 2.
I don't mind waiting since I already have something to play, and since it seems that more people are waiting on packages than have received them I'm also not worried that mine may be MIA.
Sorry, you are right. It was shipped the 13th. I got that 20th mixed up with when the first copies were received. And yes, the processing actually took two months, no shit.
Yes, but we couldn't have used the pre-order money for the reprint edition for paying for the shipping of the pre-ordered classic/posterity editions, because they were already shipped.http://www.retrocollect.com/Articles...evelopers.html

Maybe not... But your suggestion that we hadn't shipped your order before we announced the reprint edition was wrong .From the same link above:

It was just that 13th/20th shipping date thing, sorry about that. All else is correct.I am not being impatient, Had I been impatient I would have backed out long ago (I pre-ordered on 9/3/2008, order #166). While I'm going nuts waiting for my copy (really wanted to start ASAP but I've gotten more games that beckon me), I don't think we should be worrying too much yet.
Even though it doesn't state it, I would think the 20 days would be days that mail moves, and with weekends and holidays, we are at what, 17 days at max?
I've waited two years, (#98 I think ) so I can wait a little bit longer.
"20 days" is just an estimation, don't look to closely at that number. We can't possibly know how long customs hold items in any country. Swedish customs have my package in case you are all wondering.
Still no reply. Yes, I've checked spam folder, yes, my wife has complained on the official forums. This sucks, a lot.
Go to the website and submit a question via the contact link. Use the title "general inquiry", make sure to include your name. I was concerned because I never received a shipped confirmation, but I had received the original address confirmation email. I got a reply the next day.
