Joe, how big is the hall there in Vegas compared to the Philly Classic's hall size this year? They look close to the same size, from the pictures.
The vendor floorspace is about the same in both places but CGE has side rooms for the museum and keynote speeches. I think PC3 was 15k square feet. CGE2K2 was 21k square feet.

I know why I don't feel the show was so good. It's simply because I haven't seeing all the pictures. Larry's pictures are very expressive.. I feel the show.

Hey I would like to look at the pictures if they would load. i saw your other posting and hopefully the website will be up to speed soon.
What was the attendance like at CGE this year? Were there more people there this year? Was the CGE a good place to find some rare games?
And somehow I've managed to avoid being in any of them :P
@jbeedham: attendance was about the same as last year - estimating 1200 - despite the crappy economy and fear of flight stories I had been hearing as excuses for months leading into the show.
As for rare stuff... isn't that the reason why a lot of people GO to the Expo? Consider that many of the hardcore are in attendance every year. I come home with at least one extremely rare find (usually because that's all I can afford or trade for) each year.

Thanks for getting the pictures up -- can't wait to see the rest. I couldn't make the show this year and the pictures are no substitute, but they sure make me JEALOUS.
I was at the 1999 and 2001 show and they were both incredible experiences.
I love the photo of David Crane playing Dragster. I remember last year watching him play Pitfall on Ben's VCSP rev. 5... that was also a classic moment.
