Default Any MSX/Sega SG1000 versions of games superior to what is available on the NES/SMS?

Title says all. I don't want to collect/buy/spend money on versions of games that are done much better on the NES/SMS. Any info would be appreciated!

Metal Gear for the MSX is the definitive version over the Famicom version.

None of the games that appear on both the SG-1000 & SMS are better on the SG-1000, though there's not a *massive* difference between the versions of Bank Panic, Champion/Great Soccer or Penguin Land.

I'd say most of Konami's games for the MSX1 are worth owning, even if the NES versions are better. They're different enough (or in the case of Parodius and Gradius 2 completely different) to warrant checking out.

For the SG-1000, the only games really worth getting for it are unique ones not available elsewhere. Girl's Garden is particularly good, so is Gulkave. Golgo 13 is decent, but it's a completely different game from the NES one and isn't as good.

There aren't very many good SG1000 games IMO, and none are better than the NES versions. Some good games worth owning for the SG are:

Galaga- missing bonus rounds but still fun to play.

Star Jacker- very similar to Astro Warrior for Master System with great music.

HERO- Not as good looking as some versions but still plays just as good.

MSX also has a Castlevania game ported to it.
If they made a movie out of your top five worst sins, what would it be rated?

I have been curious to see and play this game. All I know is that it is a horizontal Compile shoot them up.

Where does Gulkave rank among Compile games?

Wasn't Super Pitfall for the SG-1000 a port of Sega's licensed version of the arcade game?

It's Pitfall II that came out on the SG-1000 and in the arcade, not Super Pitfall.

What is different about the MSX version? Graphics, gamplay?
