Deep Fear US proto and one "Duck Video Tools" for the Sega Saturn...
I'm sorry, but your evaluation of all these "mistakes" is far too generous to what is clearly now a scammer. If anyone else on these boards was selling pirated roms and not even giving people the roms they were purportedly paying for and trying to charge people $30 for them, they would be not only banned from these boards, but probably reported to law enforcement as well. It's just not possible that all of these things were mistakes and we should not be supporting piracy and fraud.
For L&F3, the "mistake" is just for the 3rd which must be looked like a bonus disc. The main part is the deep fear proto which is real. If deep fear US has the same data as the PAL release, this is not a mistake, it is just that the programmers didn't need to modifiy them to convert the game between US and EUR.
Just to be clear, L&F3 is great for collectors only => you get a proto (and NOT a patched EUR game).
For gamers, as there is no real difference between PAL and US version, buying L&F3 doesn't give them something new in the game experience compared to a patched and burnt version of the PAL game.
For me, as I am a collector, L&F3 is an average product to buy (compared to L&F2).
Does sound very iffy to say the least I wasn interested in these for the whole collectors deal (50 copies!) and proto! But at 30 bucks and these stories (and my lack of a modded saturn) means I won't be getting these
Definatly not a company that would get any of my money.
has anyone from the company addressed the problems with LNF2??
whenever they are asked questions about thier "intelectual" properties they are very selective about how they answer and what questions they answer. definatly not a company I'd trust any further then I could throw trypticon ;-)
After more testing on both EUR and US Saturn, it appears that the programmers did a 50 Hz optimisation for the released european Deep Fear, and the US proto doesn't have this optimisation. So the proto runs perfectly on US Saturn (compared to the EUR version which has some lines missing on screen when running on US Saturn).
All the optimisations are made on the 1st.bin file.
I updated the story with this new information.
So this is a good news nevertheless.
How is this good news? They stole Sega's intellectual property on multiple occasions and sold it for $30 and then they had the audacity to not even deliver what they told everyone they were going to deliver on three separate releases now. Seriously, there is no difference between what they are doing and what someone who runs a rom site does, other than the fact that they are charging you $30 for the stolen goods. You cannot keep making excuses for them considering they haven't even addressed your very valid concerns raised months ago now with their alleged "mistake" in Volume 2. I really hope nobody buys any more of their pirated garbage.
I like the package ok... I just wish someone proof read the back of the box before they printed out the insert. I counted at least 5 errors in grammar and punctuation. Bizarre I say.
Thanks for indulging my gaming habit when I was young, Dad. You were the best. I miss you. ~David Barnes 1926-2007~
