You know, I used to really like Gilbert Arenas. He's so fucken awesome at basketball. Shit like this really disgusts me though. What a filthy bastard.
Guess I'll be the first to say:
WHO FUCKING CARES?
Seriously. Boosting/cheating happens in every game. Now it's "News" because an NBA player is doing it. OH NOES! END OF ZEE WERLD!
He gets paid millions of dollars for bouncing balls around.
Instead of giving a shit why he cheats at Halo I was kinda wondering what would happen if that money went into cancer research or space exploration.

I myself enjoyed his grasp , or artistic interpretation of the english language. Didn't he attend Arizona Univertsity? Guess they don't hold you got servd spellin' hotness in the locker room.
I've never understood what the point of boosting is. OK, so you increase your rank...so what? It's not like you win anything. At best, a high rank only amounts to a fleeting thought of awe in some strangers head for about 2-3 seconds...
"Wow, that person is a level 50".
2 seconds later their mind is on to the next thought. I don't see what the booster gains. You spend hours and hours boosting for that? What a waste of free time.
I love stats and follow mine regularly (on Bungie.net), but they're all legit. Any fake or boosted stats would "ruin" the whole experience for me. I guess it's just the standard "something for nothing" mindset of your average teenager or twentysomething.

You're expecting student/athletes to actually go to class? :b
I did some tutoring in college, and most of the athletes I tutored were decent enough guys, but many of them were dumb as rocks... we're talking grade-school level English. Most of the professors tended to look the other way because of the money they brought into the school.
But back on topic, this is pretty much a non-story. I'll join the chorus of saying "who the hell cares?". It is kind of funny that someone with millions of dollars still feels the need to boost their self-esteem by cheating to pump up their stats.
This is gold. A basketball player, who can sleep with any girl he wants (pretty much), would rather play with his buddies and dummy accounts to boost his stats.
And people look at gamers and say, "get a life!" or "leave the house" or "make friends!"
Big LAFFS @ this thread.

The fun will really begin if I post what Michael Wilbon said on PTI today.
