Egbert, I miss you...
I just finally got this game and.....words fail me.
It is so choice. It might even be better than SM64, but I'll reserve that judgement until after I've finished it.
I've only got like 25 stars, but the first real Boswer battle is amazing. It just feels epic, way more so than anything in Sunshine did.
I wish I was at home playing it right now
I think I'm at about 25 stars now. With the holidays I really haven't had a chance to sit and play it and when I do I have to muster up the ambition to do so. Not that I don't think it's fun-once I start playing I have a good time but it doesn't have that "gotta play it" draw for me.
I think maybe I'm just burned out on Nintendo's games. With Twilight Princess I pretty much played through it without hardly dying (my few deaths happened the first time I was playing a wolf) or getting stuck with a puzzle. It was fun but when you break it down I've done a lot of the actions before. Or what's more probable is that my taste of games have changed. I sorta have to "force" myself to play Galaxy, not in a "sigh, I should really play this" but more of a balance of what I want to do more. I didn't get that with Bioshock-when I had a free moment of game time, boom I was there.
On the flip side, I am loving the character this game has. It's the little things: backgrounds, NPC reactions, the music.
Gaaah! I went to one of the hungry luma levels, lost all my lives, and now I can't seem to access it. Will I ever get to go back to that (or any of the luma levels) again?
EDIT: Never mind, I got it!
