Seeing as how I have that other thread going about where to GET the n64 and therefore implying that I don't have one, I may as well admit that I know little about its gamebase.
What are the better titles to get for a 3 year old?

a three year old? hmmm... maybe some fun racing games like mario kart 64 and diddy kong racing?
Mischief Makers is a colorful and 'cutesy' game, but I dont know if it's right for a three year old.
conker's bad fur day, goldeneye, or any resident evil
actually, you could try the mega man for n64? or maybe mario 64 or donkey kong?

Pokemon Snap.
Whether they understand the game or not...I had this young kid (about 5) over for a day, and he just enjoyed knocking the Pokemon out by throwing the fruit at their heads!! Once he understood the game he was enjoying it thoroughly...
And I believe you will find the game oddly addicting as well ( I don't care what anyone says, it absolutely is one of the best 5 games for that system IMO)

I don't think an N64 is a good system to start a kid that young on, for many reasons (the most glaring one, IMO, is the controller is huge).
I would say start a kid on an SNES or NES. Or even a Gamecube, which has a wide varity of kiddie type games that are actually pretty good.
As far as games go, if you insist on starting with the N64, I would recommend Pokemon Snap or Mickey's Speedway USA. Both are excellent.
My niece is five and she LOVES Banjo-Kazooie. Of course, it's way too complex for her to play properly, but she just likes to run around and jump and stuff.

I got him a Tigger game and Mario Kart since he loves cars... and of course, a couple of games for me (Perfect Dark and Gauntlet Legends).
I agree. When my son gets old enough to play games, I'm going to start him off with Atari 2600 stuff & then build my way up through the systems so I don't overwhelm him with complex 3D stuff.Originally Posted by Charlie
Saying that, I think a greatest arcade hits pack for the N64 would be fun. The one with Tapper really stands out in my mind. I think it's on the Midway hits cart.
We don't stop playing because we grow old; we grow old because we stop playing.
I'm thinking about getting my neices (4 and 6) one of those Atari controllers with the built in games. Simple and cheap.
Ooh that's a good idea.Originally Posted by Scoots
