Hmm, I didn't know it included a Super-play...
The plot thickens. But geez, I would hope this bastard makes it to PS3 too. Honestly, I'd rather this came for PS2 above all else, but if I had to choose between 360 (again) and a PS3, it'd be PS3 right now.
so its like mortal kombat but you can only be raiden?

You don't know what the Raiden series is?
They're 2d scrolling vertical shooters. This sounds like a collection of the Raiden Fighters series of arcade titles that have never seen console releases as far as I'm aware.
I bet it doesn't see a North American release. Is the 360 region free like the PS3 is?

Its like Metal Gear Solid but you can only be Raiden
Raiden has always been "strong" in the USA so I have a ray of hope that this may be realized in the United States :crosses fingers:
Japanese 360 games are not region free
However Asia 360 games are for the most part, region free so if there is an Asian version then importing that will be a choice for USA fellows!
Its up to the publisher research showed after I posted for both the Xbox and Xbox 360. Does MS have a policy that Japanese titles are always region locked, or is it just usually the case that they are? If what I read is right, I guess theres hope even if it never sees release elsewhere.
is raiden fighters same as raiden project etc? i mean i know its they same series and they look the same, but which is the equivalent of which?
No Raiden Fighters is the series SK did after Raiden I, II and DX. IMO the Raiden Fighters games are quite a bit better than their earlier efforts and you just gotta love the variety of ships to choose from.
I'm a bit bummed this isn't coming out on PS2 (for ease of importing), but I've got my fingers crossed for a region free Asian release. Better yet, I've love to see a US release, if for nothing else than to watch it get slaughtered in reviews by reviewers that are conditioned to credit feed shmups and then complain about how easy, boring, and stupid they are unless they're from a hot indy dev or Treasure.

Well better late than never, Raiden Fighters got canned if I remember on the original Xbox. Pity it doesn't include all the Raiden games, Raiden 2 was the peak of the series.
Nice to see another Raiden game Hopefully we'll see a PS2 and/or PS3 version too.
So is it a XBLA download or an actual disc? If it's a Japanese disc, there's a good chance it'll support tate mode.
It's a disc.

No Raiden X? That was my favorite of the whole series.
No, just the Raiden Fighters games. I'd like to see a little compilation of Raiden / Raiden II / Raiden DX sometime as well. Maybe toss in Viper Phase 1 as a bonus title and shove 'em out the door as a budget compilation release. Leave in tate, remember to flip the controls when you flip the screen, leave in support for a variety of video modes (akin to the Gunstar Heroes Treasure Box!) and you'd have an absolutely killer little collection of goodness.
Oh well, the Raiden Fighters trilogy is EXTREMELY awesome.
