Default N64 Jumper Pak -- worth keeping?

    Hey all,

As I was unpacking my video game stuff from various boxes (moving is a PITA), I came across my original N64 Jumper Pak tucked away in a plastic baggie. While thinking of a place to put it, I began to wonder: Do I even need it? I've long since upgraded to an Expansion Pak when they first came out, and my Jumper Pak has just silently gathering dust ever since. Could there a foreseeable event in the future where the Expansion Pak just gives out, and I need to use the Jumper Pak to get a quick N64 fix? Or is it pretty reliable? Is the Jumper Pak even worth keeping at all?

I still have mine, which I've had since the expansion pack first came out. The only reason I hold onto it is the chance I may come across an N64 without a jumper or expansion pack. I'm not sure how likely it is that it would be missing, but I do see them on ebay that way from time to time. I just keep mine in a box full of video connectors and cables. As far as I know the expansion packs are pretty reliable, but I hear the newer aftermarket ones do fail.

I still have my jumper pak as well. I figure it'll come in handy someday.

I use them all the time to replace expansion packs. If you don't want it, I'd be interested.

I, too, would be interested in any spare Jumper Paks. I have 3 N64s presently that need them (heck...I'd probably be paying as much for the requisite number of Jumper Paks than I paid for those systems...I got them almost too cheap :P ).

Dont get rid of it! I know of at least one game that doesn't work correctly without the Jumper Pack. Space Station Silicon Valley

So you mean even with the Expansion Pak inserted, it won't run? That blows.

Oh, and to everyone who offered to take it off my hands, I think I'm going to hang into it now reading the responses that I've gotten in this thread. But I thank you all for the heap of info.
