As for what to buy, i highly recomend PacMan CE. I hate the original with a passion, but love the remix. Otherwise i'd look at something like Lumines or Alien Hominid. Best part about XBLAH is that you can try before you buy.

I, for one, am not one of them. The amount of 360 content I've bought scares the shit out of me. It's in the middle three digit range. Yikes.
