What's the difference between CoreGrafx and CoreGrafx II ?

Are all CoreGrafx and Coregrafx II's compatible with US tv's and power? I had one guy selling a CoreGrafx II from Austrailia tell me I would need a converter to run on 110 power.

I had the original white PC Engine from Japan, and that worked fine with our power and tv sets, except instead of channel 3 for the rf output, it used some high number like 96 or something.
