Nothing too super rare, 7 is tops:
SMS Castle of Illusion
SMS Power Strike
2600 Artillery Duel/Spike's Peak
2600 Demolition Herby
2600 Robin Hood/Sir Lancelot
2600 Rubik's Cube
2600 Springer
The only one found in the wild was Springer.
It doesn't get any more serious than a Rhinocerus about to charge your ass.
"rarest" item?
Hmmm, I've got a lot of neat rare games and such ... but my rarest single item is probably my Atari 2600 Flashback V.2 which I had modified by Benjamin Heckendorn (of "Portable VCS" fame) to accept actual 2600 cartridges.
It's sweet. A 2600 smaller than a JR. that has beautiful AV output.
He said he's only done one other. So, one of two ... that's pretty rare.
"And the book says: 'We may be through with the past, but the past ain't through with us.'"
My two PAL - Primal Rage for 32X And my Darxide & T-Mek of course
To date, the rarest I've found is chuck norris/artillery duel for coleco. My one and only R9. A few R8s Sammy Lightfoot and qbert's qubes both coleco, fox hunt and team buddies (sealed) for psx, fun and games, aero fighters, and chavez II for snes. All of which were found in the wild which is very satisfying. I've been looking for spiderman web of fire for the past 8 months or so but it hasn't come across my path yet
Hi all,
I'm quite new here so please forgive the newbishness.
I have been an avid fan of gaming since 8 years old (27 now) and started collecting gems that I thought represented the best the inductry had to offer. So though not numerous, I go for what I feel is truly great.
Some highlights include: (All Factory Sealed Original)
Radiant Silvergun
Panzer Dragoon Orta
Castlevania SotN and Dracula X for Saturn
Orta Xbox Console
Biohazard 5th Anniversary Briefcase
FFIII SNES
Arcana SNES
Resident Evil Long Box PSX
ZOE 2 Giftset
A lenticular (sp?) prototype Poster of NiGHTS that came from a Sega Office.
I'll have to post pics sometime, but these are just sme of what I think are some of the greatest games of all time.
If only someone would sell their golden Elemental Gearboly Gun set >.<
Chavez II (boxed)- R8 for SNES.
Would you call a Prototype San Fransisco Rush: 2049 for Dreamcast Rare?
lol
A few of the better gems from my collection are:
Blue Chicago Blues laseractive disc
All seven of the Lunar Silver Star artwork discs
All four of the Dragon Force artwork discs
Brigandine Grand Edition (minus the map - but as rare as this game is not a biggie)
I have two really really unusual things in my collection.
1) A Battlestation II controller. It has two controller positons with six buttons and one joystick each with turbo cabability It can control a SNES, a Genesis, a SMS, a commodore or an amiga. It is about 18 inches wide and about 8 inches deep. Unless you have a left handed and a right handed person playing though someone is going to be at a disadvantage. I have no documentation for it and I don't know who made it. It looks pretty impressive though since the joysticks are different colors and the buttons are all oversize and are different colors also.
2) An ASCII gameboy display case - it holds 16 games in a 4 x 4 grid with a storage compartment for the manuals on the side and sits upright on two legs. It has a paper insert that shows pictures of gameboy games and one of them shows the artwork for a game called "Doomsayer" which as far as I can tell was never actually released.
I keep the following games in it:
Beetlejuice
FF Adventure
FF Legend
FF Legend II
Mysterium
Rolan's Curse II
Gauntlet II
Kingdom Crusade
Knight's Quest
FF Legend III
Prophecy
Gargoyle's Quest
Spud's Adventure
Sword of Hope
Ultima Runes of Virtue
Ultima Runes of Virtue II
