You got that CIB for $3000 yen? Lucky...
Well, if Moonwalker is considered rare now I have it CIB for Genesis.
To be honest, I've yet to see it and he obviously wouldn't show it around. The local PnT store owner claims that he owns it, and I'm apt to believe him since the store owner knows the difference in the games and he provides stock for the guy's store. I'll try to ask the guy for a photo of it next time I see him, but don't expect anything - I know I certainly won't. Rare rental title, sealed...
Ive got a Dynamic Sound Digitizer for colecovision, as well as the cassette that goes with it for use with the adam computer. I cant find any information about this anywhere, got it in an amazing lot from some dude who used to work for coleco.
In the U.S maybe, but according to DP the non-US version rates a 1 on the scale, and since the games aren't region-locked, take it as you will I guess.
Also, it seems the DP Rarity for Moonwalker Genesis has changed, used to be 4, now it's 3. Still, both are hard titles to find in the wild.
If you're looking international, and you consider region locks, I suppose you've got a point. Seems like a reach to me, but to each their own.
I will say that I hardly believe a 3-4 rarity is THAT hard to find in the wild. Those are fairly common titles honestly. I couldn't imagine either being a collection centerpiece, but again, to each their own.

Undoubtedly! Two questions:
- Where did you find it (and if you wouldn't be offended, how much did it set you back)?
- Do you happen to have a picture of it?
The price on these seems to have gone through the roof lately. I would love to pick one up, but I just can't seem to find one for a reasonable price.
I think Moonwalker could become similar to the likes of games like Chrono Trigger, Earthbound, and Super Mario RPG. They're common games, but since they're in such demand at the moment, they'll look good as a collection centerpiece. I know the Genesis version of Moonwalker would, not sure about the Master System version though.
I disagree with you on far fewer copies and are far less common, that's bullshit. The DP ratings are as follows:
Moonwalker (Genesis) - 3
Earthbound - 4
Chrono Trigger - 3
Super Mario RPG - 3
They're all in the same rating category (save for Earthbound which is one more) so about the RPGs selling less copies than Moonwalker can't be right.
I found it by mistake from a buyer from here in my contry, and he sold me to be a Nintendo NES - broken with a bunch of games 12 to be exact (i payed like 30 $ delivered by curier - in fact I've payed only the games and the delivery, the "nes console" was free ) - and I had a big surprize when I opened the box.
That's fantastic! I had a feeling that you got it for a steal, so I'm glad to find out my hunch was correct. Excellent looking item. Thanks for sharing the picture.
First of all, I would appreciate it if you would watch your language. There is no need for that on this board. You can disagree with me all you want, but that doesn't change the fact that Moonwalker was sold on two different home console platforms in every region, plus Sega Game Gear and a bunch of home computers (C64, Amiga and Sinclair Spectrum among others), as well as in the arcade. It also sold quite well, at least on the Genesis and in Europe on home computers. DP ratings don't necessarily reflect the actual numbers of a particular game out there. The three RPGs you listed were Super NES exclusives and while Super Mario RPG and Earthbound had pretty good launch allocations, Chrono Trigger did not. In any event, those three RPGs did not have the print run nor the distribution that Moonwalker got. The "rarity" of Moonwalker is entirely a product of renewed interest in Michael Jackson following his death.
