    Default SNES Controller Variations

I got two SNES controllers today and between those and the two I previously own, there seem to be three different variations.

The first one has the SNES logo on the front. The L and R buttons have the letters in a dark gray color. It is part SNS-005

The second one is the same as the first one, however the L and R buttons are not painted dark gray.

The third one has a Nintendo logo on the front (instead of the SNES logo). The back shows the Super Famicom logo and is part SNS-102. It has purple buttons and is in a light gray case.

All of the controllers are 1st party. Does anybody know anything about these differences (sorry, I do not have a digital camera available to take pictures).

Yobo makes a counterfit controller. Ebay is filled with them. They even have a box with Mario on it.

After some research does appear that the third controller might be a Yobo one. Thanks

If it has the 'Nintendo' logo molded into the plastic and the select and start buttons are made of plastic instead of rubber, then it is.

I also have one like the 3rd controller you described. The start/select on mine is rubber and not plastic. Mine came with a used SNES Mini I bought so I always believed they came with the Mini late in the systems life.

yea unfortunatly i bought two of these the quality just isnt on par with the original. the l and r buttons are mushy and imprecise requiring too much force to push down. the seem isnt ground down as smooth as a legit snes controller and can be irratating to your hands. and worst of all plastic start and select buttons! im not sure about this but damn the controller cord seems awfully short too, same exact length as the fc twin controllers (ie WAYY too short)
For lucky best wash, use Mr. Sparkle.
