    Default More sticker madness...Blockbuster...

Ok, so I found some rental N64 games for great prices, but this particualr Blockbuster uses these large clear stickers that engulf the entire back of the cart. They are impossible to peal off, as when you try to peal them, the sticker breaks off into tiny tiny pieces. HOW can I get these damn stickers off?

I've taken the Blockbuster stickers off discs with a Goo Gone like stuff that's very orangish. Like it has citrus in it. Had to soak the area in it and let it sit for a while then gently peel the sticker off. I haven't tried it on a cart tho. I have a couple I can try and get back to you. I don't mind if I screw them up.

The main problem is that it goes right over the label.

Yeah, if you ever find a fool proof way of getting these off please let me know. They are rediculous with their stickers. For now, I will just leave them be, and from now on unless I get a VERY VERY good deal at BB, I won't be buying any more carts from them to expand my collection.

    no good.

Maybe I soaked it too much, but it wanted to take both labels off.

    Sorry man,

Some Goo Gone like stuff. It has a cartoon duck on the label. I can't remember the exact name.

Zektor - rub the entire area of the sticker with mineral spirits, and use a rough cloth or brush on it. Just keep the stuff away form the label, and wash the plastic area off when you're done. If this doesn't take it off, nothing will.

Thanks for the mineral spirits idea! I moved into my place 3 years ago, and would you believe the previous owner left a can of this stuff in one of the closets! This stuff blows away lighter fluid and some other things I have tried. You know when you peel off one of those chrome stickers and it leaves that "void" crap that never seems to come off? With this stuff one wipe and its gone! Thanks for the tip once again!

Does anyone know how to remove "disc sheilds", those sticker that cover the whole top of a disc. I just got a copy of Fox Hunt, But I would really like to get rid of the words "Big City Video" of of my discs.
I am in fact the guy that made the Raisins prototype worth thousands less by dumping it. "D'oh!!"

i just tried this method of removing stickers from boxes and carts that
works pretty good... you take a hair dryer and use it on the sticker until it turns kinda black then it is easy to tear off......
props to tynstar for the idea.
