My Gaming Collection (Now at Google Drive!)
pretty old....I was pissed when I first saw this on the TeamXbox forums, but I think I'm over it now(deep breathes). Fox News really needs to get their $h*t together.
Made me feel like a bunch of Live bully's who talk trash and the rational guy gets muted or booted and can't get many words in edgewise.
He was doing good until they had to talk about Princesses and their dad's 70's oldsmobile that they used to take out for shits and giggles and women staying at home.
Pretty disappointing "interview." It only goes on for two minutes, and Geoff doesn't even get the last word in. And after the interview is over, they completely ignore what he said and keep referring to the game as if it's a porn movie.
....should get an AO rating!?! wtf they smoking!?!
The fox news network is a total bunch of assgoblins. They are so phony they are so hypocritical. Don't play mass effect but go to war and kill people. THe only level headed guy on there network is combs.

Well that is true but the fox channel news slant is horrible always one sided you can't even get an opinion and the king of fear mongering. Other channels are bad but fox takes the cake.
They were doing it with mass effect fear mongering then they have a round table of all yes men. Stiring up false fear. Talking about what they don't know.

Why hasn't the tempur-pedic logo recieved an NC-17 rating?
the host had some expert sources to support her claims.....google!
Exactly right. Notworthy is that people who are liberal choose to blame the conservative media, and people who are conservative choose to blame the liberal media if confronted with views they don't like -- no matter what the source is.
Supporters ofnNew conservatism (since the 80s) are still less active telling people how to live their lives than people on the liberal side who believe that societies can be and should be shaped according to ideas. (like the sentence 'the one who tells the stories creates the culture" -- and other nonsense which can be found on anti videogame-sites and very very concerned parent groups)
Educational dictators on both sides assume the simplistic belief that the things people read, hear, see, and play are imitated and done. This was the basic belief for prohibition movements from the French sentiment literature in the 19th century, Sherlock Holmes novels, and comic books in the last century -- history is full of movements based on this simplistic assumptions fueled by the phenomenon of violence which we can't explain. Today videogames are a comfortable scapegoat.
It is amazing that the reasoning, ignorance and low information level of videogame critics never changed in the last twenty years -- and the hysterical stereotypical presentation of the same arguments is the same as well.
There is not even one study in the last twenty years which shows that playing videogames has an effect on behavior. Period. Not even the studies by David Walsh (which at least live up to a certain standard compared to pseudo-academic nonsense out there) could ever show such an effect. Uncertainty is the only result they could come up with -- an old political strategy and the prefered one by lawyers and riders on high moral horses.
The discussion in this video took already place in the late 80s during the NES times. Violence and Videogame addiction was hysterically discussed by politically active parents and politicians who blamed Contra and Mega Man 2 for crimes and war. Same reasoning, same blindness, same distortion of facts, same attitude of 'it cannot be what shouldn't be.'
The 1993 Senate hearings about videogame violence was like that, only missing is a substitute for Joe Lieberman waving a game gun in his hands asking "do you want your child to play with that?"
The guy who defended videogames was very good. He understood that good academic reasoning isn't possible with one-eyed people who have an agenda in two minutes. He fired basic cannonballs at their ignorance, and it was effective.
Like always, the little educational dicatators do not know what they are talking about, distort facts, never played the game they criticize, and don't even know the actual content. I guarantee you that the woman who said that a study shows games "desensitize" hasn't a clue about the research, and she didn't read the study either. It is just babble by political activists and half educated and semi-intelligent journalists.
Lots of people believe what they want to believe ignoring reality in the process. It is sad, really, and the main reason why we get dumb political election campaigns as well.
