I recently learned that Gamestop has marked all their new Gamecube titles as used, meaning there are some good deals on mint condition games. I picked up a copy of Odama MIP with the microphone for $12.99, marked down from $49.99.

Yeah, I saw a copy of Go-Go Hypergrind for $4.99 used there the other day. I remember when this game was in high demand because it was an Atlus title, but I didn't pick it up because I don't know if it would make good trade fodder or not...
Currently catching up on PSN, WiiWare, Wii U E-Shop and Xbox Live Arcade exclusives I missed.
I must be out of luck, it seems that my local Gamestop is pretty lacking as far as Gamecube games go. All the GC titles are neglected to a double sided shelf, and about 70% of them are disc only(and crappy games at that).
I still need to pick up Killer 7...might check it out
while im happy to hear this, im a bit surprised. since gamecube games are the only last gen games still perfectly supported by a current gen console. with the extreme popularity of the wii, and the 100% BC of it, id imagine GS would try to sell many GC games and keep their stock high and fresh.
Exactly, this is the reason I never really got into collecting for the Gamecube. The best games never really seemed to drop in price. Look at Mario Strikers, doesn't it still go for $30 to $40 despite it's sequel ALREADY being released on the Wii?
The N64 was the same way after it was killed off.
There is one game I want to get is Skies of Acardia Legend. Unfortunately my EB still have this game listed as $51.99 used. Talk about big ripoff.

Same here and if they try to change the price I'd wave my finger at them and tell em that is dishonest. In some states illegal, like here. That's how I got Point Blank DS for 6.99 CIB. It had the wrong sticker on it. I think it was something like Ping Pals. Their problem, not mine. Besides, it's possible that the 51.99 one is the old sticker with lazy employees.

Their are maybe like 30-40 titles at the GS in my area. Not a lot and most of them I can get cheaper at target or walmart. I'm still waiting for walmart to close out all their gamecube games. Most of the GS employees in my area seem to be dishonest. This last time they marked a wavebird wireless controller at 29.99 hoping that no one would buy it. I guess it must have just been marked and I knew they go for 17.99. I called them out on it and they were really upset. One of the employees must have been waiting to purchase it.
I have to say that all of the Gamestops and EB's here in Atlanta have a pretty nice selection of Gamecube games. Most of them have them in a shelving unit as opposed to wall space. I've been buying a few here and there. I found an Ikaruga (haven't seen that one in the wild in a long while) but it was $45 with no instruction book and a faded cover. I did find Metal Gear Solid 2 for $5... I was thinking that was a great deal as I remember it being closer to $20 just a few months ago. I bought it and later discovered it has been mislabeled as the PS2 game which is common as dirt. Score.
Thanks for indulging my gaming habit when I was young, Dad. You were the best. I miss you. ~David Barnes 1926-2007~
