why is there a funky speaker on the player 2 controler on the famicom?
nothing comes out of my twin or my famicoms speaker on the P2 controler but my 2player games are limited.

It's actually a microphone.

A crappy gimmick that luckily never made it to the US NES. It's not like the thing could do voice recognition or anything, if I recall it simply detected sound above a certain volume level. It was binary, it either detected noise or not. Couldn't actually tell what you were saying into it. Not sure what was more worthless, the microphone or ROB
Don't you ever talk about ROB like that!
