If I'm not mistaken, it looks like a circuit breaker plug that you'd see on modern hair dryers and such.
I'd say that'd be a xbox system plug for your demo unit.
thats the power cord microsoft sent out to replace the original power cord for the xbox.they had a big recall on the original cord years ago.

While I don't dispute you and all the posters who've confirmed this... I think I got the shitty end of the deal. I also was sent a replacement cord by Microsoft- but mine was just like the original cord that came with the unit, with the addition of a ferrite core. Until now, I have never seen this version of the power cord.
