Along with Michael Jacksons Moonwalker, he just did anther video review about Alien Invaders

It was a nice review. You couldn't pay me to watch Moonwalker the movie/video. As for the Thriller music or not, there's very little said about it on the web. I really don't feel like playing mine to find out.

This wasn't one of my favorites, but then again I never played this game. What kind of reviews did it get in the early 90's? I don't recall it getting poor grades.
Michael Jackson wasn't in the same league as John Madden, Joe Montana, Michael Jordan or Wayne Gretzky for selling games. He didn't even promote it, I don't think. I don't remember anyone having it, or at least admitting to having it. SEGA did a really good job in having a lot of games available at Genesis launch, and subsequently for the next year. True many were SMS recycles or sequels, but most people were going from NES or Atari to Genesis and never played those before. SEGA also was wise in not going E.T. on Moonwalker and producing too many. Also, Michael was kind of moving into the realm of oddity he is firmly in now.

Moonwalker was one of the first Genesis games I ever spent much time with back in the day. I thought it was actually pretty good at the time, but as I got older I think I realized the gameplay really takes a backseat to the music, esp. when compared to ESWAT or Revenge of Shinobi (other near-launch titles).
Oh and I distinctly remember renting a version of Moonwalker that did play Thriller when you used the dance attack in the graveyard.
I just found a video on youtube that shows the scene with Thriller intact, it pretty much confirms it.

Crazy. Why would they change the songs? Licensing issues? I would assume the same people would hold licensing rights to all the songs, but... I dunno.
A bit off topic, but has anybody played Splatterhouse Wanpaku Graffiti on the Famicom? It's got a pretty funny thriller sequence as well.

I used to love the angry nerd videos, but now he seems to play up his angry side too much for entertainment purposes. I like those times when he's acually really pissed off, lol. My favorite had to been the Silver Surfer video, when he was outlining the line of bullets on the screen at once and how it wasn't possible to avoid to getting hit.
He has always played up his angry side for entertainment purposes. Dr. Jekyll...
It's part of the character. The only difference is that now the videos are longer, more informative and better all around.
James just posted that his next video won't be up until next week, so he can have time to get back on track. Also it's going to be an NES game.
My random guess: Predator?
And don't bring up that stupid girlie Aladdin rip off! Shantea?
I'll take a totally wild guess here: Athena?
I haven't the slightest guess as to what his next review will be. If it's a single game, and it's on NES, it's probably really, really bad. Late last night I had thought of Zelda 2, but he seems to enjoy that game. However, it would be really easy to rip to shreds, even by a fan.
