That DOESNT help me so back to my original post are there any tips on making the game a bit easier?

Because it makes no attempt to be great, it is therefore extremely great.

Yeah I looked at a few but made it to stage 5 but still ended up with a game over because I one of my characters died and I hate not being able to be god like and slaughter everything

play the first few free stages over a couple times to level up your characters. Always try to make sure you have healing medicine making sure you have it for when you get close to dying. Also, you want to attach skills to individual characters, this will boost thier abilities. You may want to be careful in the begining of the game due to the fact that your character levels and skills are low. Just keep attacking and always be ready to heal. Continue to do that until you've played through the first few missions a couple times and you'll get more of an edge just by raising your stats. Also by completing stages, you can gain seeds and fruits that will permanently raise one of your people's stats just by using it in battle. All in all, I'd say level grind a bit and jack up your characters before moving ahead whenever possible.
The only way to get through level 5 (and on) is to grind the beginning levels over and over. Unfortunately, these levels won't give you that much experience, but it does add up over time. All SRPG's are this way, but Jeanne D'arc just makes it a little harder to do so. Especially towards the beginning of the game.
