I found two sellers around SoCal that were willing to part with their Atomiswave sit-down cabs which are in perfect condition...so I'm just curious, how much does an Atomiswave SD cab go for? thanks in advance!

Well, they don't pop up for sale too often as the Atomiswave is fairly recent hardware. I keep a watchful eye on all the driving cabs for sale (ebay and local auctions), and I've only seen one AW cab sell in the last year. It was running Faster than Speed and it went in the neighborhood of 1500-1600.
That said, I would look for these to bottom out on price as more ops pull them off route and they become more plentiful. The big downfall of this cab is that, although the draw of the AW hardware is easily swappable games, there are only two driving carts available. So you can really only run Faster Than Speed, or Maximum Sped on the cab.
But hey, if you like the games, that's all that really matters.
Edit: I just realized that you didn't specify driving cab. If you are talking about an candy cab style sit down then disregard everything I said. I know nothing of what those cabs sell for. lol sorry...

My SEGA racers at Arcade Crusade!
By sit-down cab do you mean one of the candy cabs?
Depending on condition, anywhere from $1500-$1800 is probably about right. If you plan on playing mostly lo-res games (like Neo Geo and the majority of JAMMA boards), the AWSD might not be the best choice. But if you want to play medium and hi-res games, it's a great cab to go with.

yeah, I already have a consolized atomiswave and a few games on it. sadly though, the consolized mobo broke down recently so I decided to upgrade to a candy cab...the only person that I know of that has one available is Matsu, a local arcade seller in SoCal...any other places anyone would know of?
You can occasionally find them for sale on boards like shmups.com, but Matsu is a great guy and has some of the best condition cabs around. If you're local to him, even better, you can save a few hundred on shipping and inspect the cab yourself.
Edited!
