    Default xbox Controller S

I'm clueless about xBox stuff, but for some reason I thought that these were something special. When I came across one today I didn't really know what to do, so I picked it up since they have an easy return policy. I checked eBay, but I can't really tell what's aftermarket and what's official. It looks like I should have passed since they don't seem to sell, but I'd like to be sure.

    Thanks in advance.

I know there were a few people here busting their asses looking for them in Buying and Selling awhile back, I don't recall who they were however.

Yep, one of them busting ass looking for one was me. And I believe 1 2 Fire or something like that. I've actually come across some since then, but I might still be interested. How much you want for it?

Isn't the "controller s" the revised, smaller version included with most later model xboxes. I didn't think they were all that rare. In fact, the original controller which is very large, seem to be the harder ones to find. Do you have a picture of the controller?

I thought I saw $13 shipped for a previously sold one. I really couldn't go lower than that, since I'd rather just return it for any less. It was much more expensive than I'd normally just pick something up for, but they have a good return policy and I think I had the price of a new one in my head ($50 in that thread started by The 1 2 P).

Yeah, it is the smaller one afaik, not the "Shaq" controller. I don't have a pic, and am feeling too lazy right now, sorry. Wiki has a side by side of them, though.

Yeah I had 3 of them and sold them (here about 6 months ago)... It's probably the most common of all xbox controllers. It seems to be more common than the original, as I've only seen a few of the originals. I quit Circuit City about a year and a half ago, and the entire 4 years I was there the "controller S" was the only official xbox controller we carried. We had way more inventory of them than even the aftermarket controllers.

If its new sealed its worth a bit. If its loose, your looking at 10-20 bucks.

Do you need a pic of what a Type-S looks like? Its pretty easy to tell if its an official controller or not.
Because it makes no attempt to be great, it is therefore extremely great.

If they're new, sealed and official, i'd buy a couple at $15 if you have a source.

Oh, and just as a reference, these aren't official, although they are amusing:

Used Controller s' can easily be found for $15 and under. New factory sealed ones are very rare these days and can go for as much as $40, although I don't think I'd pay that much for one.
