    Default Colecovision question

I was given a Colecovision a while ago, but it did not come with the RF cable or switchbox, so I just let it collect dust for a year or so. Just recently I decided to try it out with a spare NES RF switch and it worked! There is sound and I can play the games, however the screen is really fuzzy. The RF switch works with my Nintendo. So is it the switch that's causing the Colecovision to not give a clear screen? Any help would be much appreciated.

For a Colecovision you want to use either a manual switchbox (like the one an Atari 2600 uses) or a phono to type F adapter which is basically an RCA type jack on one end and a coaxial connection on the other. When using one of those you can use a standard RCA cable between the system and adapter. Pictures of both are here.

I had the exact same problem with an Atari 7800. I used the coax fix as outlined by ID and it worked like a charm

Thanks guys. It looks like my solution is quite a bit simpler than I had imagined.
