Game Boy protos?

Found these at the swap meet. The one on the left is Battletoads 2 and the one on the right is Super Off Road. I'm curious on what they are exactly.

hmmm, They look like proto's to me. they ay be very early proto's because you cansee the chips and stuff.

Most of the GB protos Ive seen are exactly like that, with the chips shown, so they can be swapped with future revisions. Nothing about it makes it very early ;P

I don't mind if the chips are a bit later in the series, I was curious if I had found some protos or not.

They look to be Gotta see if they are different from the final by playing / checking the rom though
