My parents surprised with a late birthday present (my birthday was in January), a brand new Wii! Definitely wasn't expecting that at all. Sucks that I'm swamped with school work and won't get a chance to play until next week though.
GTA IV (of course) Regular Edition-$59.99
Mario Kart Wii w/wheel-$49.99
Metal Gear Solid Collection PS2-$29.99
Went to another CD/Game exchange this evening:
SNES:
Wing Commander: The Secret Missions (cart only, R5) - $2.50
Game Gear:
Castle of Illusion starring Mickey Mouse (cart only) - $2.50
NES/SNES plastic single game case - free
GBA 3-cart game case - free
I finally made that "stuff I've been meaning to get for years" purchase from Japan Game Stock. Prices on this stuff was pretty good but shipping was murder; I may have paid too much overall but it was nice getting it all in one box.
This marks the humble beginning of a Famicom, and Super Famicom collection!
That's what I'm looking to do, find someone that is going for a complete retail Genesis collection and needs this as one of their last items, or is more in the beginings of one that sees this as a really hard item to find and wants to get it out of the way early. I know it's not worth obscene amounts of money but I also do know the fair value. Sometime this week or the next I'm going to photograph everything for archival and get it up and ready to go. However if anyone is interested please don't hesitate to shoot me an offer - I have to pay off the Sharks playoff tickets I just got raped for at near 3x.
Honestly I'd say between $300 - $500 based upon estimation and the last sale that I know of. Of course there's a lot of play there in the value, I don't have anything set in my mind. This is also the only totally complete one I've seen, but I'm not huge into Genesis collecting (strange with my history with JVC X'Eye, I know).
snagged this on ebay the other day. it's the black @world pippin. doesn't include the digitizer or any software, but not a bad haul for $19.
gotta love poor spellers!

I found 2 HD-DVD drives for the 360 at a Kmart. I was going to just buy one if they were still $40 just for the novelty, but they were $25 so I got a second for my friend who's coming to town this weekend.
I also tried to score their old, unplugged Xbox, PS2, and Gamecube all-in-one demo unit, but no luck. It was in bad shape and not as cool looking as most kiosk units I see on ebay and such.
