I picked up some PS1 games at a thrift store today... I saw them and figured they had been picked through because it looked like somebody had taken one or two games out since there was a gap between them... Got up there and saw:

Breath of Fire III (Complete and Mint)
Armored Core: Project Phantasma (Complete and Mint)
    Fifth Element (Complete and Mint)
Blood Omen: Legacy of Kane (Complete and Mint)

Cost me a total of 8 bucks and some tax... Not a bad stop

Holy crap, I'm envious of a Kitsune Sniper find!

Great pick up on that Shining Force II. One of my favorite games of all time right there.

Pretty nice finds today. Boxed NES games on the bottom row were 1.40 ea. Jak and Daxter was 3.80. Also got a $2 SNES a/v cord and would have overpaid for the Wii nunchuck marked 14.99, but I think they like me at that Goodwill (well, they like my very cute 18 month old son, anyway) because on Thursdays 'games' are half off, and they extend that to all sorts of stuff for me, so the nunchuck was only 7.50.

the rest of the NES stuff was all for $80 off CL. Unfortunately I only get to add sleeves to my collection out of it. The rest is for sale/trade.

this case was sitting on the goodwill counter today, and i almost passed by it thinking it was for tools or an old camera or something (nothing against those items, just not what i'm lookin' for.)

i'm glad i decided to open it and check it out anyways.

there is a final lap twin hiding in the unit. the screen surface is scratch and smudge free, and has one burned out pixel in the top right edge of the display. the sound is great. and i've been hoping to stumble upon a turbovision in the wild for a very long time. i don't know if this is the same case that is mentioned here; i think travelmaster may have made cases for other systems as well.

not a complete steal at $49.99, but a price i didn't mind paying.

I got a some stuff in a craigslist deal:

A PS2, an Xbox, a SNES, and a Saturn, as well as a box of about 48 Atari (or as the guy called it, "Antari") games and 5 or 6 common (sports, ugghhh) SNES games, along with 2 PS1 controllers, and one controller is a "Spiderman" controller. Most of the systems were loose, though the SNES came with adapter and RF and the PS2 had it's A/V jacks.

The Xbox is probably broken, the guy said his friend gave it to him because it wouldn't work. The (original) PS2 works fine, it has been opened but I think that was because someone opened it and adjusted the laser, the system played a few "purple-bottom" PS2 games fine. I have no idea about the Saturn, I have no hookups for it. I'm pretty sure the SNES works, they're pretty hardy (I've never had a SNES that didn't work, and trust me, I've had some rough SNESes).

I payed $75 for it all. The guy said in the listing he didn't know if everything worked, if I knew that the Xbox was positively broken I probably would've offered him a little less. The guy told me that other people had offered him more but since I was first to offer for it, I should get it all. That kinda make me feel committed to buy it, it's not like I'm going to loose a lot of money, I'm probably going to break even after selling the systems (maybe). After assessing everything all I could think of was "Meh". The guy's pictures were crappy (I couldn't tell how the systems looked) and the systems are kinda dirty. I'll probably sell the PS2 at the flea market when my dad sets up there again, and I dunno how the Xbox is, but it could be fixed.

I'll post some pics once I finish some homework that I should be working on right now.
Check my auctions here! I am in the business of finding off-beat things, including video game stuff!
