OXM disc 82 with Free Halo song for Guitar Hero

I know that you get the song for free. What I can't seem to find any info on, is will it update Guitar Hero 3 so my brother-in-law has the co-op feature? If so, I have to track down the disk. He doesn't have an internet connection to download it. If not is there any way do download it and burn it to a disk?

I do understand that it was free a month ago ( that is when I downloaded mine) but the question is more about the update than the actual song.

I dont know if you can update live with a cd like its a pc game.
