    Default Persona FES

I have Persona 3 but now with this out should I sell/trade my Persona 3 and pick this up instead?

The only reasons to keep Persona 3 are if you really want the art book or if you really want it for your collection. Beyond that, FES pretty much renders it obsolete. There's a chance that you may not fully agree with a few of the tweaks made to the gameplay system as well, but most people that I've talked to that have spent time with both feel that the changes are for the better.

I got an open copy and sealed copy of the original Persona 3. When I picked up FES, I decided that I'll sell my open one I used to play and just hold onto the sealed one because I collect RPGs and Atlus games. I'd just say sell it if you don't collect PS2 games, RPGs, or Atlus games because FES has pretty much made the original obsolete to play.

You could always keep the artbook and soundtrack and just sell the game itself for less.

I bought the original Persona 3 not that long ago and then I found out that FES was coming out so I just held on to the original and never opened it, but I just got FES and the game is friggin' amazing. The relationship development and the gameplay are downright great, but the soundtrack is amazing and I'm tempted to crack the seal on my original P3 for the soundtrack. I could also have a friend who owns it burn it for me...choices.

I have both, and after putting 100+ hours into the original, I am pleased with the changes. I would keep my persona 3 and also buy the FES version if I were you. Its not going anywhere anytime soon.

I own both the original and FES.

Both are opened, but I have no plans to sell the original. Not even sure why, as was said, FES renders it obsolete. Even the art book and soundtrack are half-assed (watered-down version of the OSt, and a mini art book). I guess I just keep it... just because? Ha, packrat.

Also, to the person wondering if they should get FES...I am playing through the original game atm, and although the changes are small, they actually cater to those who have played the original. They are almost like cameo apearances, before you actually meet the chars.

Oh yeah, and you can import your Persona 3 stats. Something I really liked was that it doesn't count as a new game + , so you won't have a level 99 to truck everything with, but you still keep your maxed S. link items

Not to mention there is a whole new 40 hour game with Aigis. I haven't touched it yet, but I'm sure it's amazing.
