Man.. you people must have some serious thriftstore/garage sales around where you live.
Best I've ever managed was some old, bad Sega Saturn sports games.

I managed to get a lot of systems and games today at the garage sales, which I'll try to post and brag about later sometime, but I got one game that I wanted to ask about right away. It's a SNES demo cart of Contra III. I assume it's a store demo correct? I'm wondering how much they usually go for? I don't see any on ebay to give me a good idea of how well I done. I paid $10 for it in a SNES collection with about 10 games and I know I at least made my money back with the system and Super Mario cart. Thanks!
Today's Finds so far: Typing with a power glove is annoying...maybe that's why its so bad! $6, Excitebike and Skate or Die for NES $2 each, and Aces of the Air for PS1 $2
Sweet, off to Ebay it goes.
You must not go to many Garage sales or Thrift stores? I do it almost daily, granted, earthbound doesn't show up very often.
There's actually a very nice Genesis lot at the same Thrift store, it's avalible through one of their silent auctions. There's no bids as of yet and it ends Monday. A complete Genesis system with I think I counted 33 games, all complete, some excellent titles in there as well. I'll be there Monday to put a bid in.

Thrift stores, yes. Garage sales? Not as many as I'd like, but I do.
It might have something to do with this being a college town. Probably at least 50% of the town's population is between the ages of 18-25. I bet they get gobbled up before I can catch them.
And more or less I mean the decent finds. I can find old NES games that are selling on ebay for 99 cents, but never anything worth while. Ocassionally I will come across an Atari lot though.

My 1st find in the wild in over a year:
3 Intelly games I don't have for a buck each:
Swords and Serpents was also the very first game I ever bought at a Thrift Store, waaay back in mid 1998. It was .75
Also bought Boktai 2 (GBA) and Neo Contra (PS2) for $10 each at ShopKo yesterday.
Yesterday picked up Graffiti Kingdom for ps2 for $10, hopefully will have something more interesting to list later on today.
There weren't very many garage sales today, but that didn't stop me from finding some stuff!
TI-82 calculator - $3
Edgar Allen Poe book - $0.25
Age of Empires II and expansion - $0.25
MGS: Twin Snakes - $3
The 2001: Space Odyssey soundtrack and 2-disc movie theme soundtrack were $0.50 each
The cool old Godzilla vs. Megalon VHS was $0.25
I bought the guides (Killer Instinct, Earthworm Jim, & Boogerman) in the next lot, which includes the next 2 pictures.
Yeah, I got all of the Genesis, 32x, and SNES games, along with the guides and the 4 systems for $30
Umm...they all have the original boxes, it's just that they're in pretty rough shape. All of the system boxes have some bad water damage, it's amazing that the original inserts and all the stuff in the boxes are in good shape. The Sega CD looks like it was maybe used once. I believe the actual boxes for the game systems were stored seperate and they got wet, that's the only explanation that I can think of as to why the systems and manuals are fine and the games have no water damage, while the system boxes are in bad shape. They were all found in a single big box with water staining on it, so I dunno.
Check my auctions here! I am in the business of finding off-beat things, including video game stuff!
