    Default SNES Console Model question

Whats the deal with this console?
I dont know much about SNES. But I dropped the $10 bucks to score it today at the flea market..(with SuperMarioWorld, and cords.)

why is it different than the standard model.?

    also is the Value higher?

    thanks.

This was the remodeled version(model 2) and most people prefer it over the original. It actually goes for alittle more money than the original as well. Also, $10 was a really good deal to get this, the cords and a game.

i dont like it, i prefer the original. the model 2 snes can only output composite (or rf with an adapter) video. RGB and S-video were removed to cut costs and it just feels cheaper overall. the nice thing about it though is that they never yellow (at least not that ive seen)

Yeah, it's the SNES equivalent of the toploading NES, the PSONE, and the PS2 Slim. They are all sleek and small, but they've all cut corners from a technology standpoint.
