Big popular games you could never get into

Metal Gear on NES..I just..cant..do..it. I even tried the MSX version. Im sure it was groundbreaking in the late 80's, but theres something im missing? I die, a lot. I hide and punch. And die again.

Star Ocean-SNES-Im not a fan of the drab dialogue. Too plain to me, it has to have some charisma to the characters, but i mean if someone else likes it, good. I just cant get into it, i tried for 2 hours. I'd like to give it a shot again.

Final Fantasy 3/6-Theres already a topic on this, but i agree. Again, the text is kinda dull. But if i play it longer, maybe i can care about the story.

Street Fighter 2(+sequels)-Im sorry, i just dont get the games. They all feel the same to me, except for the big characters and the special moves. I could never get into the games. Ive played them all and own SF3 japanese version with the Double Impact game with it, but i still have a tough time trying to get into it. SSF2 turbo has the specials, but theyre fuckin hard to pull off.
Although i did like the PS2 polygonal one, though..odd.

Theres a few more but i'll piss off more fans late-i mean give my opinion again later.

Metal Gear Solid. i tried several times with the ps1 game and the gamecube remake and never was able to get into it more than 5 minutes before i thought it sucked.

-Any MMORPG, mostly because I'm not a PC gamer.

90% of the games past 1990. There are a few, like Rez, Crazy Taxi, Jet Grind Radio, the Rush series, Gauntlet Legends/Dark Legacy, and a few others that I dig, but most games past 1990 are just dreck to me. But then, I'm old.

Killer Instinct. Sure it had flashy graphics, but the gameplay was mediocre at best. Same goes for Primal Rage, which didn't deserve a fraction of the popularity it enjoyed. While I'm at it, Battle Arena Toshinden sucked too.

I also don't see what's so special about Halo... at all. I see nothing interesting about that game.

Zelda is the big one for me. The games look pretty but I can't play any of them for more than 20 minutes without getting totally bored.

And 99.5% of all RPGs. I like games in just about every other genre though.

I've never been able to get into Metroid or Zelda for some reason. I know there great games, I like watching others play them, but I can't last for more then an hour playing them myself. Especially the Metroid lines (I'm talking from Nes to now).

God of War: The battle system is WAY too shallow. That and I don't really like Greek that much. Well, somewhat, but I'm much more of a Norse fan.

Kingdom Hearts: Horrible camera, and just an overall poor battle system. That and I hate Haley Joel Osment with an absolute undying passion

Guitar Hero: It's just a fad, and I don't get it. Granted, I did play a lot of DDR for a couple years from 2004 - 2006, but that was it. I have a very specific "No Guitar Hero" rule in my house.

World of Warcraft: Not a PC gamer, and I really only want to play an MMORPG if I'm familiar with the source material. Other than Warcraft II, I don't know much about the lore. I want a Resident Evil, Phantasy Star, and/or Dragon Quest MMO. I'd play FFXI if it weren't so party-based (I prefer soloing, and will only team up for a "raid" if I absolutely have to).

Halo (I enjoyed playing some of the multiplayer on Halo 2 but have never been able to get into the single player mode)

Final Fantasy VII & Beyond (I really like the early FFs but never could get interested in VII. Interestingly, I really like FF: Tactics Advance for the GBA and Crystal Chronicles for the Gamecube)

Metroid Primes (the 2D Metroid's were great but I just don't think the series translates well to 3D)

MMORPGs (I have a bunch of friends that play or have played WOW and FF: Online but I never saw the point. Although, I did play Kings of Chaos for about a year at one point a few years back)

Modern PC games (after the days of Quake III Arena and Counterstrike I've not been able to really get into any PC games. Maybe Diablo II but that's from around the same time)

I could never get into Halo. Multiplayer was great, but the 1st level in single player didn't really pull me in.

Almost any turnbased RPG - For whatever reason, I could never get into turnbased RPGs. I just did not like how I had to leave everything to luck. I was, however, able to play the Mario RPGs and enjoyed what I played of Mother.

Rhythm games: Even though I played an instrument for years, I could never really play rhythm games. Well, at least the ones that required an extra peripherals...

Metal Gear - This is mainly due to a lack of interest on my part. I just never tried out the series, but I doubt I could do stealth games.

GTA - Ok, this one is just hard to explain. I tried playing Vice City, but it wasn't my game. I did enjoy the hacked version of GTA 3 that I had, but other than that I could never enjoy the game. Well, I guess I did enjoy playing San Andreas with my cousin, but by myself I've been bored with GTA.
