Oddly enough, I was most excited about the magazines.

Wow. Arcana. That takes me back to when I was a kid, fumbling around with RPGs for the first time.

    Today I picked up:

    Shinobi Legions (SAT), $2.50 complete
Deja Vu (NES), $6 box, no manual
    PTO (SG), $4 complete
    Skitchin' (SG), $2.50 complete

Overall, not too shabby. I was especially excited about PTO, as that was a great game back in the day. Shinobi Legions, by the way, has some absolutely craptacular live-action full motion video scenes!

    It is very fun!

I found this in the garbage today! Great find a little damp from the rain but not to bad at all and it works, just needed some cleaning. Wish there was more 64 stuff than just the power and A/V cables.

Got these for $11 total at the flea market, gotta love those overlays!

There have already been some amazing finds. I can't wait to see what's found by the end of the month.

agreed for sure. There aren't an "r9/10" finds, but the sheer quantity of great stuff for cheap (or free!) has been amazing, and we are what, like 4 days in? Maybe its because its garage sale weather now?

That other map actually came with Chrono Trigger.

I though this sounded familiar, I just checked and I have a sealed copy I bought about 10 years ago which I never got around to opening.

not a terribly great deal, but worth it for me:

got guitar hero ii for 360, new in box for $50 (at walmart of all places).

got it for the guitar controller really, since i need an extra for rock band; used ones go for $40 at gs. the game is a bonus.

they had some other clearance items i passed on:
    wii zapper w/link game $15
    ps1/ps2 rf adapters (official) 50c
    ps2 dualshocks (official) $7
    ddr supernova w/pad $30

    Just bought 30 N64 games.
Not for the great prices you lot get them for but still nice to me
Half cart only, half with manual and box...in used condition.
Some doubles but those'll sell pretty easy
Tried keeping the price per game around 5-10$, but I calculate reselling doubles in there which always go for more than they cost

Expensive hobby for lazy Europeans like myself, but hey

Wow! All I can say is congratulations! There are quite a lot of nice finds this month!
I guess I should show my loot:

So, today I decided to wake up around 8:00 AM and go to a Goodwill lot sale. For those of you that don't know, some Goodwills will have sales in the back of their store. Anyways, we got to the sale and saw a big crowd of what I would call "flea market rats", the true bottom feeders of the flea markets. After a few minutes of digging and getting stuck with infected hypodermic needles (just seeing if you're reading this ), my dad procured 2 N64s, Goldeneye, LoZ: OoT, and a few other odds and ends that he could sell. I got lucky and found a copy of Mario Party 2 at the bottom of a pile of toys for $1 . Next, we went to the Goodwill Computer Works and I found the 2 boxed NES games (Shadowgate & Bucky O'Hare) for $8 a piece, and hey they're mint, so I don't mind paying $8 each. I got the 5.25" copy of Battle Chess for free (Can you believe that they throw away 5.25" floppy games at the Goodwill Computer Works!?!?!). Next, we went to the Salvation Army where there was another back lot sale going on, I found the 3 CDs (Beatles Anthology 1, Anybody Out There?, and The Darins) for $1 each. I also got 2 sealed copies of Tekwar for $1 each. and finally, we went to another Goodwill where I got Muppet Adventure for $1.99 and Warhawk for $2.99.

(some more stuff, from the lot sale)
The "Doonesbury Chronicles" book, the 12 Angry Men DVD, and the crappy "Tennis Virtual Game" were $1 each.
Check my auctions here! I am in the business of finding off-beat things, including video game stuff!

    View my collection!

Kind of lame for the number of sales I went to today in a city-wide garage sale day, but at least there were some things. Most interesting (to me) are the 'Video Command' and TAC 2 (Totally Accurate Control) 2600 sticks. I also saw a guy with a barcode reader on his palm device out scanning anything he could, and it apparently would beep at him when something over some $ amount came along (he wasn't even looking at the screen or item, really). Now, resellers in general skeeze me out a bit (of which I am one, so obviously I've come to terms with it), but this just enters into total douchebag territory. Not quite sure why. Don't know if it was this guy, but I definitely had competition out there, because when I asked about the Smash Bros. Manual w/ the N64 lot they told me someone had already bought a bunch of games; why they left Mario Party 2 behind, I dunno, but I like to think they are/were just gamers or kids and they already had this one.

prices for anyone still reading: N64 lot - $5, 2600 controllers 1 each, Super R-Type, Viewtiful Joe, and Guilty Gear x2 - 2.50 ea (GW), Crash Bandicoot .75, Pokemon - $3 ea., SP charger $1, monster s-video cable and misc. RCA cables .25 ea.

I've wanted to buy one of those, but for trade-in purposes only. Sometimes vendors come and sell music CDs for three bucks a bag. I like to buy several bags and sell the stuff to FYE for credit every three or four months.

Maybe it's a bit "skeezy", to use your word, but nobody's buying the damn things and they usually end up in the town's landfill at the end of the day, so I'd rather give them some good use, ya know?
