    Default Commodore 64C?

I was looking through the shelves at the place where I work and I saw a boxed Commodore 64C. Is this just a regular C64? There was a picture of a guys head on it. There was also a subtitle for it, but I cannot remember the name. Any ideas?

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Commodo...The_C64_family

"In 1986, Commodore released the Commodore 64C (C64C) computer, which was functionally identical to the original, but whose exterior design was remodeled in the sleeker style of the Commodore 128 and other contemporary design trends. The modifications to the C64 line were more than skin deep in the C64C with new versions of the SID, VIC and I/O chips being deployed—with the core voltage reduced from 12v to 5v. In the United States, the C64C was often bundled with the third-party GEOS GUI-based operating system. The Commodore 1541 disk drive received a matching face-lift resulting in the 1541c. Later a smaller, sleeker 1541-II model was introduced along with the 800KB 3.5" capable 1581."

So it's basically a redesigned C64 with lower voltage requirements and different chips inside.

Now, is it worth more? No idea, but it sure sounds cool!

In the Rarity Guide, is it the C64 computer or is that something else?

I have two of these boxed.....and oddly that box is diffrent then both of mine

i bought both of these at a classic computer show. one was $45 and it was complete in excellent condition. the other was $10 and was missing a few small odds and ends and slightly beat up but both work perfectlythe boxed disk drive i bought is the same as that one there. that was $3

i have a special affinity for the C64c as it was the version i had growing up. in recent years when i got back into commodore stuff i was initially very confused as the computer looked nothing like i remembered it. took me awhile to realize i acually played on the revised C version.

Yes. The entry covers all the standards revisions (five) of the computer between 1982 and 1990. The C64C was both revision D and E (four and five), the old breadbin had three revisions (A, B and C).
