If this happens, I can almost guarantee that the BR dive will only be used for movies. There's no way MS would be so stupid to alienate such a large portion of their fanbase by releasing games on BR.
This rumor's been going on for awhile, btw....

So you mean to tell me if you bought an ipod you'd be pissed becuase they announced one with more space like a month later?
anyways I think it'd be cool but it wont give me any added benefit till i get a tv that does higher than 480i to be worth it. but it would make my decision between a 360 and ps3 harder.
Blu Ray Xbox 360 eh?
What I really want is a dam 360 that does not break, will not break, under $250
The 360 is near three years old, and all we have seen is a miserable $50 price break
I dont want my 360 to do more shit, I want my 360 to cost less shit

That doesn't make any sense.
The thing would still be capable of playing 360 games off DVD, why would they want to do that when a game on a DVD plays just fine? Especially since DVD load times are quicker anyways, and you couldn't take advantage of the storage capabilities of blu-ray since you'd have to have the content be able to fit on the DVD side.
So what other purpose would there be in doing that?
Games aren't going to be coming out on blu-ray for the Xbox 360. They are not going to alienate 20 million customers, there's no purpose to it and no reason to fear or suggest they do it, in my opinion.
Microsoft's secret plan to take up even more space in already crowded gamestores
(I doubt it, since everybody already has to push/pay for retail space.)
Well, there was no announcement today. Let's see what happens getting closer to Christmas.
Bring it on... If a 360 had a Blu-ray in it, I may actually buy one... That and if the RROD has been fixed. I guess it would suck for all the current 360 owners though.
That's MS though.

Wouldn't it make more sense to do another external drive, a la the HD-DVD player?
