Microsoft's JRPG press event

Lots of info came out of it. We're getting Tales of Vesperia in August, with a demo supposedly hitting XBL this month. Infinite Undiscovery ships on September 2nd (we're actually getting it before Japan!). Now, the bigger news: Star Ocean 4 is apparently a 360 exclusive "for now" and will be coming out in 2009. Lastly, The Last Remnant is coming out on 360 first, and we'll also be getting that later this year. Talk about RPG overload, huh? Tales of Vesperia, Too Human, Infinite Undiscovery, The Last Remnant and Fallout 3, all within months of each other.

The reason I was all about the PS2 last generation is so far the same reason I'm all about the 360 this generation: all of the good rpgs are on that console. A lot of these games would have been no-brainers for Playstation last gen, but now they're all moving to Microsoft. That's great seeing as I don't have a PS3 yet. Maybe I won't have to get one after all.

Well, I already have both systems. So long as the Wii doesn't start getting a crapton of RPGs, I can stave off buying one for a while. Though Tales of Symphonia 2 pretty much guarantees I'll get one.
