Default NES game to famicom adaptor question

ok, well i've been trying to play my NES power Pak on my A/V famicom and its haveing none of it!

    i have 3 of these things http://hkgtoys.com/search.php?page=family_converter

but its just not working, there are no sides to the adaptor so its always getting stuck on the dust cover doors on the famicom. also it just doesn't seem to want to go in and takes alot of force and manhandeling to get it to go into the famicom and i'm constantly worried about busting something. when it seemingly does slide into place all i get is a grey picture when i power on. as far as what i read the power pak is fully compatable with the famicom.

is there a better nes to fami adaptor out there? i looked but there doesn't seem to be, everything is a famicom to nes adaptor.

i really would rather not go back to useing the toaster just so i can use the power pak.

I'd like to know too. I'm waiting on my AV famicom to get here, and I wanted to get a NES to Famicom converter.

I know Yobo makes one, but I wonder about its performance.

uhm.....I got one like it, but mine has the sides to it.....I'll take a picture of it...It is very reliable..
BTW,Are you inserting it the right way?....The "Family converter 60-72 pins" logo should be facing the front of the console, at you, while on top,the game NES cartridge label should be facing back.... Yes, it does looks a little silly...
