Sega Genesis Question

I am not sure if I am in the right forum but it can be moved if needed. Anyways, I have a Sega Genesis model 1, it works but I use an RF from Nintendo. There is no sound or it ruins the sound for a few games. Do I needed a different RF or what other one can I use?

it has the big 9-pin plug instead of the smaller one. this one also works on the sms and c64.

I cant possybly think why the heck they ask for 29.99 US to send a cable to MExico? What a ripoff :S

I got a AV cable for my genny off of ebay it did not work in the slightest, if you wanna pay shipping you can have it though.

yeah, i don't buy my cables from ebay. i was just using that as an example. i think i got mine off estarland for like 3 bucks a piece.

why is RF that bad? I don't know why but I get better image quality with a MegaDrive 2 with an RF than with a CDX and that AV Cable.
With the CDX, I get very thin noisy black tears all over the screen. It is playable. But on white backgrounds, you see those short noisy line appear, disappear on the screen. It has a noisy behavior.
