    Default Need rpg suggestions please.

I don't like turnbased rpgs at all; I used to but grew very tired of them. The only two (that I can think of) that I'd still play is The Legend of Dragoon because the battle system was very fun, and Chrono Trigger . Right now I'm playing Tales of Symphonia and I'm loving it. Giving the characters battle strategies and the fighting itself is awesome. Can anyone suggest me non turnbased rpgs with fun gameplay (and of course good stories) for the PS2, Gamecube, and even Wii (not a priority).

    Thanks in advance.

    Kingdom Hearts 1 and 2.
    Zelda games
    Paper Mario games

All rather inexpensive, have good stories, and will provide hours of fun.

    Panzer Dragoon Saga

Although it's not on the systems that you mentioned, it's battle system is very unique. It's somewhat turn based and somewhat action based. You have 3 meters that are like the ATB from FF 6 and Chrono Trigger and depending on what actions you decide to take they will be depleted accordingly. They slowly refill when no actions are taken. In addition you can manuver your dragon around the enemy when attacking to expose "Weak Points". It's a very fun, adrinaline charged, and strategic battle system.

Although I will second Sudo's suggestion of Rogue Galaxy.

If a god is willing to prevent evil, but not able, then he is not omnipotent. If he is able, but not willing, then he must be malevolent. If he is both willing and able, then why is there evil? If he is neither able or willing then why call him a god?

Final Fantasy XII: a lot of people hate on it but it is my favorite FF since IX.

Star Ocean: kind of overwhelming for me because it's so deep, but this is a great franchise.

Skies of Arcadia. I can't say I'm the biggest fan of turn based RPGs but SoA is an incredible experience.

Grandia II & III are awesome - great unique battle system that's all timing based.

Definitly give Grania 2 or 3 a try (I really liked 3's combat system, I still think its one of the best if not THE best RPG combat system out there).

Final Fantasy XII also has a semi-active turn based system, very similar to many MMORPG games out there, just in a single player game.

Dark cloud 1 and 2, while I played little of 2 I was deeply in love with the first one, I was addicted to leveling up my weapons and making new ones.

vagrant story, parasite eve 1 & legend of legaia, not exactly pure action rpgs, but not the traditional boring turn based rpg combat system, i recommend those highly

not all on the list of your systems but why limit yourself? Own them all!!

    Popful Mail - Sega CD
All the Tales games are action based battle systems and all worth a look IMHO
PDSaga - The best RPG on the Saturn never got an equal outside the Saturn.
Dungeon Siege 1 and 2 PC
OdSphere - If it wasn't for the loads this RPG brawler would be on my top 10 RPG games not to miss list.

If you like Tales of Symphonia then you'll like Tales of the Abyss and maybe Tales of Legendia for the PS2. Tales of Vesperia is coming out for the 360 in August if you plan on getting one of those.

There's also a Tales of Symphonia sequel coming out for the Wii at the end of the year.

Other non-tales games include STAR OCEAN: TIL THE END OF TIME for PS2. It's fun. There's a new Star Ocean game coming out next year for the 360 so you really should buy one.

And since you have a ps2 you can play ps1 games on it so buy Tales of Destiny 1 and 2. Those are fun as well.

Oh oh, Valkyrie Profile 2 is action battles. Same with Radiata Stories.

The loads didn't bother me, it was the massive, almost crippling slowdown that occurred during a) every boss battle, and b) some normal battles. Even with that, I still loved the game though. It just saddened me how absolutely perfect that game COULD have been.
