How are they? There's a fellow on IRC saying they don't register two simultaneous drum hits, but I have a feeling that he's confusing the problem with the Topway DDR mats, which have been known to have that issue occasionally.

That's the brand I got and it works perfectly. No issues with simultaneous drum hits (unless it's some really weird combo I haven't tried yet, like hi-tom + cymbal ^_^) and the bass pedal is perfect. Sometimes the low-tom and the hi-hat don't register, but that might just be me not hitting hard enough...it's hard to tell.
Cool. Where did you get yours? If it was from Red Octane, then it's probably a Topway.
Yeah, I think we can be at least 80% sure. :-D
Yep... I can say that I've played on a Topway as well... and it works just fine. Now just to find a way to stomp the bass pedal that doesn't kill my leg...
Well, if it's just a 1/8" mono headphone type plug that connects the pedal, just buy a light gun that uses a real pedal for games like Time Crisis. Then you can anchor it to something like a sheet of hardwood floor protector, and it will probably be a hundred times better. That's what I'm planning on doing, since my gun came with a real nice pedal that just needs a bit of anchoring.
I doubt I'd put my money towards this, just considering I'm not all that good at Drummania, and I dont really like it.
Yeah, I think Drummania and IIDX are the two hardest Bemani games, with Pop'n Music pulling in a close third. Pop'n Music has the potential to be harder than any of them, but most of the current songs aren't too bad.
Why I refuse to play IIDX and Pop'n in the arcade.Originally Posted by davidbrit2

Yay! I got it. And it was definitely worth the money. The pads are insanely responsive. The pedal (which was actually a real plastic one) was much too stiff, so I used the lightgun pedal anyway. Since anchoring it all together, it's been working beautifully. I even cleared DM Powerful Mix and Koi No Dial 6700 Expert Real. Woohoo! I have to get someone over here for Session mode now, so we can unlock everything for Free mode.
You think drummania is harder than guitar freaks?! Being that I played both for the first time on the same day, I'd have to disagree with you there. I found drummania measurably easier than both beatmania and guitar freaks.
I find Guitar Freaks super easy myself. I'll have MPEG 4 videos to prove it by this weekend, too. :-D
I can get an S on Classic Party Triathlon Advanced 2x Hidden Sudden. Hidden + Sudden is commonly referred to as "Blink Mode" around these parts. I also got an A on Classic Party Extreme 2x Blink Random.
